Yep, SOS
I got up this morning and took a 3 mile run around Virginia Lake. Amazingly there were quite a few people at 7:30 am. Spring is finally here and the weather is warming up -- bringing out lots of folks. Guess I'm going to have to get up earlier.
While I was running I happened to look over at the shoreline and noticed that the 4 goslings were there with both their natural family and their adoptive (kidnappers) family. Wow, how interesting. the plot thickens, were these just the grandparents babysitting one of the troublesome youth? Could be. In any event I'm really happy to see all 4 goslings surviving and learning to swim.
Life is so boring right now. We are trying to find anything to occupy ourselves with. When we first entered our quarantine I went to order some jigsaw puzzles from amazon but alas, others had the same brainstorm! Managed to get to Walmart a few weeks back and found one puzzle -- the aisle was almost as vacant as the toilet paper aisle. We finished that puzzle and put it in the mail to my sister in Michigan. A couple of days ago we received 2 puzzles from her. We are working on this one now:
Also, I have been working out in the basement. Here's my gym:
Tonight we walked the dogs around the lake and noticed that there were very few masks. I hope that Nevadans continue to take this virus situation seriously. I sense that some are beginning to tire of the lockdown. The advent of spring and beautiful weather is bringing people out of their homes and since they aren't at work, they feel that they may as well congregate. I pray that they continue to hang in there -- we are doing good in Nevada. Our Governor Sisolak is being very cautious. He is outlining phase I of the reopening but he has given NO opening date. PLEASE WAIT everybody. I know it is painful but I believe it is for the good of all of us!
